POSITION DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Assembly Technician to assist us in building complete blasters to fulfill orders in a timely, efficient, manner. Assembly Techs will use hands-on skills and basic equipment such as lathes, power drills, and hand tools. Additionally, Assembly Techs will work with a wide range of techniques such as soldering, troubleshooting, and product QA testing.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The job of an assembly technician, also known as an assembler, is to put together or repair products. As an assembly technician, your responsibilities include piecing together the product, often with a team, and performing quality assurance on the entire process. You may also need to inspect both your work and the work of your team. An Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or pieces adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. They verify the correct quantities of components parts and quality checking completed items, manage parts inventory and use hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce quality products.
Responsibilities for Assembly Technician
- Independently carry out general assembly procedures and work by assembly instruction sheets
- Pre-assembly prep such as post-processing, cleaning, and deburring 3D printed parts
- Perform complex assembly of products according to established specifications and instructions
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware using soldering equipment and hand tools
- Perform repair, inspection, reassembly, replacing, refitting, and adjusting products as required
- Conduct functional tests to verify that the assembled unit operates properly and that it is of high quality
- Inventory completed products as well as parts and tools used in the assembling process
- Work well with a team and collaborate with people from other departments
- Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
- Assist in planning assembly procedures and administer the completion of a product
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong hands-on skills to best optimize regular tasks as well as verbal and spatial learning ability
- Attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills to ensure products are quality and operating properly
- Manual dexterity, technical skills, and experience working in a team environment
- Calibrate and test electronic products
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment with a positive attitude
- Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
- Diligent and punctual. Ability to prioritize tasks.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with Slack, Trello, Monday, or other task management software

COMPENSATION
- Trial & training period $12-$22/hr. Pay increases based on efficient performance.
