About the Role: Liability Claims Adjuster
As a Liability Claims Adjuster, you’ll play a crucial role in investigating coverage, determining liability, and resolving third-party liability claims. Your expertise in state-specific insurance regulations, claims practices, and statutory requirements will be key in managing complex cases and mentoring less experienced adjusters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and verify facts of loss to analyze and confirm coverage.
- Handle the entire claims process, from investigation to resolution, including communication with insured parties and external experts.
- Establish and adjust reserves, ensuring accurate and timely claims management.
- Draft and submit coverage correspondence, including Reservations of Rights and denials.
- Attend mediations and apply advanced negotiation skills to resolve disputed claims.
- Mentor less experienced adjusters and assist with training as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: A four-year college degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience handling complex liability claims.
- Certifications: Maintain Florida 520 License; obtain Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia licenses if not currently held.
- Skills:
- Strong investigative and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
