Position Overview
The Collections Team Manager, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), leads the firm’s revenue cycle operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate management of billing, collections, and revenue processes. This role plays a key part in optimizing financial performance, reducing outstanding receivables, and driving process improvements. Managing a team of RCM professionals, the Team Manager will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance revenue cycle efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team responsible for various aspects of the revenue cycle, including billing, coding, collections, and claims management.
- Oversee and optimize the end-to-end revenue cycle processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, reduce days in accounts receivable, and minimize claim denials
- Monitor and analyze revenue cycle metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, and administrative teams to ensure smooth revenue cycle operations and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to revenue cycle management.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their performance and development
- Prepare and present reports on revenue cycle performance and initiatives to senior management
- Implement and manage technology solutions and systems related to revenue cycle management
- Address and resolve complex revenue cycle issues and escalations in a timely manner.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to coach and develop staff, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent understanding of revenue cycle management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) software and technologies. 3E Elite preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a law firm
- Proven experience leading revenue cycle teams, with a strong track record of optimizing billing operations and financial performance.
- Experience with Accounting System Software
