The Community Driver is responsible for delivering safe transportation services to each resident of the Community and for all resident activities. Active in supporting, introducing and implementing activities that maximize each resident's identity, abilities, and interest.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Transports residents to and from destinations safely.
- Maintains the van's interior and exterior to ensure it is clean, ready to operate and full of gas.
- Ensures the Company vehicle(s) is regularly maintained to meet safe operating standards.
- Strictly follows and abides by all local and State driving laws to include always wearing a seatbelt.
- Assists residents in and out of the van and to and from their destination.
- Ensures they are properly oriented in advance for all trips and resident outings.
- Immediately reports any, and all, driving accidents, mishaps, violations, citations, tickets, etc. to management
- Participates in all required training, orientations, meetings, and programs offered by the employer.
- Present a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill and genuine interest in the residents' unique needs. Conduct yourself and your vainness at all times so as not to detract from or reflect adversely on the reputation of the property. Handle all resident concerns and complaints with finesse and in a caring, polite and professional manner.
- Presents a professional demeanor that communicates to current and prospective residents the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in the resident's unique needs.
- Other duties as assigned
- Lift up to 50 pounds. Stoops, bends, climbs stairs and works in cramped spaces. Frequent walking and visual inspection of the vehicle
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must possess a current state-specific Driver's License and Commercial Driver's License
- Must possess a clean driving record that will be approved by the Company's insurance carrier and the Company's standards
- Annual driving record checks will be performed to ensure consistent and safe driving patterns are met
- Must be able to work independently and have the ability to communicate with others
- Must be able to relate to the elderly in a positive manner
- Must be clean, tidy and appropriately dressed
- Must use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices
