Under general supervision of the Family Young Adult & Rapid Rehousing department and working collaboratively with other Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program agencies, provides individualized client-driven support to young adults (18-24) who experience housing instability and/or homelessness to meet their immediate needs and assist with identifying and maintaining safe and appropriate housing without a stay in a shelter, whenever possible. For those young adults who do enter literal homelessness, the YHDP Navigator works collaboratively with enrolled participants and continuum of care (CoC) partners to chart a rapid pathway out of shelter and into safe permanent housing. Assist participants with determining program and housing eligibility, program enrollment, housing coordination with local Public Housing Authorities, other community housing organizations, and through private landlord engagement. Ensures that individual choice is upheld during participation in the housing process.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 – 5:00pm
This is a non-exempt, union position with a pay rate $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with specialization in social, behavioral, or human services with at least one year professionally supervised work in mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services. Lived experience of homelessness and/or housing instability and/or embodiment of the diverse identities of young adults who experience homelessness in Cuyahoga County they serve, particularly, but not limited to, BIPOC, LGBTQIA , and Young Adult.
Salary : $18
