Our client in Houston, Texas has an immediate opening for a Controller on a contract to hire basis.

Controller Role :

The Controller will be responsible for managing key accounting and treasury functions, working closely with department managers to determine product and system costs, and providing valuable financial analysis and forecasts.

Manage and oversee the companyâ??s financial operations, including daily accounting activities and treasury functions.

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Coordinate with external financial institutions to negotiate bank financing and manage banking relationships.

Collaborate with Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to prepare and review annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.

Work closely with department managers to determine accurate product and system costs, providing detailed cost analysis to support decision-making.

Develop and present financial forecasts and long-term projections to support strategic planning and business growth.

Oversee compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, ensuring that all aspects of financial operations adhere to best practices.

Manage risk by implementing effective internal controls and monitoring financial activities to identify and address potential issues.

Controller Background Profile

Bachelors degree a plus

7 years of progressive accounting experience

Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred

QuickBooks experience

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of clientele including internal and external staff or team members.

Expertise in accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
