Our client in Austin Texas has an immediate need for a Medical Billing Specialist on a 2-3 month contract basis.

Medical Billing Specialist Role :
The Medical Billing Specialist will ensure accurate processing of patient billing information, insurance claims, and payment reconciliation.
Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies, ensuring compliance with all billing guidelines.
Monitor and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working closely with insurance providers and clients to resolve discrepancies.
Utilize CentralReach software to manage client data, submit claims and appeals, and track billing status.
Address billing inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner, ensuring a positive experience for both patients and providers.
Ensure all billing practices are in line with state, federal, and payer-specific regulations.
Support the office team with general administrative duties as needed.
Medical Billing Specialist Background Profile :
Minimum 3 years of experience in medical billing, with a strong understanding of insurance and payer requirements and the denials and appeals process.
Behavioral Health Experience a plus
Experience with behavioral health billing or familiarity with mental health insurance codes is a plus.
Experience with CentralReach is a plus, or familiarity with other billing software and EHR systems.
Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance claims denial and appeals process.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and billing software.
