What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Controller/Flagger position at Frontline Traffic Safety Solutions LLC?
Job Overview
As a flagger you would be responsible for the safety of the public, clients, and yourselves entering and exiting current work zones. You would be utilizing company provided signaling devices to direct vehicle traffic while communicating with your partner by two-way radio.
Must be able to
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
- Be a self-starter.
- Be able to follow detailed instructions.
- Setting up and maintaining traffic control devices: Installing, removing, and maintaining signs, cones, barricades, and other devices to guide traffic.
- Keeping an eye on traffic flow and adjusting controls as needed.
- Providing clear and concise instructions to drivers to navigate through the work zone and avoid potential hazards.
- Communicating with construction crews, law enforcement, and other personnel to coordinate traffic control efforts and ensure everyone's safety.
- Notifying authorities or supervisors of accidents, unsafe conditions, and other issues.
- Adhering to all applicable safety regulations and guidelines.
- Able to attend training sessions and stay up to date on traffic control techniques and regulations.
Job Requirements:
· Must have a valid driver's license
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
· Must be able to reliably commute to and from work
· Flagging certification preferred but not required
Hours:
Day shift M-F (minimal weekend hours available)
Full time & part time available
8 hour shift
10 hour shift
12 hour shift
Pay: $15/hr
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
