About This Opportunity
As a Field Technician, you will play a key role in the installation and maintenance of Frontline Wildfire Defense Systems. You will work in the field, ensuring high-quality installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with opportunities for career growth.
Key Responsibilities
System Installation & Setup
- Install and assemble Frontline Wildfire Defense Systems on residential and commercial properties.
- Layout and assemble necessary pipework, ensuring proper fit and functionality.
- Install sprinklers and properly seal all roof penetrations.
- Mount and secure system components to stucco, concrete, roofing, and siding materials.
- Wire system components, including low-voltage electrical work.
Site Preparation & Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Occasionally perform trenching, concrete work, and traffic control as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, handling project cleanup daily.
Equipment & Inventory Management
- Maintain and organize inventory in company vehicles and storage locations.
- Ensure all tools and materials are available and in good condition for job execution.
- Accurately document inventory usage and restocking needs.
Customer Interaction & Support
- Provide on-site customer education regarding system functionality and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, and team members to ensure smooth installations.
- Address and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
Travel & Field Operations
- Travel required up to 75% during peak wildfire season, with overnight stays as needed.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while adhering to all safety measures.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 1 year(s) of experience in plumbing
- 2 years of experience in construction, electrical or related field is a big plus!
- Ability to work at heights and on roofs safely.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel (mileage reimbursed).
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working with wildfire defense or fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with low-voltage electrical wiring and system installations.
- Knowledge of trenching, concrete work, and pipe assembly.
