Who you are:
As an Agile Practice Team Manager, you are our leader, managing a team of Agile practitioners leveraging Scrum and Kanban frameworks in order to achieve high levels of agility, productivity, and innovation within your teams, Tribes, and the enterprise. Our Team Managers believe communication is key and strive to build relationships throughout the organization. You’ll help to keep Agile teams on track, providing your Agile practitioners with needed coaching and support, and assisting with escalated obstacles that may prevent a team from achieving its goals with our signature all-win approach in mind.
What you’ll do:
Manage HR activities in attracting, hiring, assessing performance, and retention of Agile practitioners
Provide your Agile practitioners with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to do their jobs; that established Agile practices are understood and being followed
Ensure Agile practitioners are tracking and reporting on team progress, goals, and deliverables, identifying potential issues early
Assist with escalated obstacles that may prevent a team or Tribe from achieving its goals
Assist with budgeting input and monitoring regarding personnel levels, conferences and travel, credentialing activities, and other expenditures needed to support your Agile staff
Always take action using integrity, caring, and excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
6 years of experience working on a software or technology development team using Agile-based practices
3 years working concurrently with multiple Agile teams as a Scrum Master or other Agile Team Lead role
An advanced level of knowledge on Agile principles and processes
Excellent mentoring and coaching skills for individuals, teams, and Tribes
A Certified Scrum Master or Kanban professional certification
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience as a personnel manager
Experience working in the Financial Services industry
An A-CSM, CSP-SM or Advanced Scrum Certification
CSPO, A-CSPO or other Agile Product Owner certification; or equivalent experience in a Product Ownership role
An advanced Scrum, Scrum Professional, Team/Enterprise Coaching Certification
