Who you are:
As a Central Credit Underwriter I your opinion matters. You will be responsible for approving or declining consumer credit requests with underwriting authority of less than $250,00.More than that, this role is about building relationships and providing top-quality service and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.
What you’ll do:
- Approve/decline or make recommendation for alternative financing within established loan authority
- Mentor, train, and coach bankers
- Act as the department liaison
- Perform administrative functions, including preliminary underwriting work on requests outside of lending authority
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand cash flow, financial statements, and leverage ratios
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Previous commercial/consumer underwriting experience
