Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with 1000 legal and business professionals in eighteen offices, is currently searching for a full-time Business Development Associate to join our firm. This position will primarily focus on supporting the strategic growth of our Business Combinations and Capital Transactions and Private Equity and Venture Capital practice groups.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong project management, communication, and organizational skills. A background or strong interest in mergers and acquisitions or capital markets is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update profiles and content for assigned practice groups, industry teams, and offices on the firm’s intranet and website.
- Coordinate pitch and RFP materials, working with attorneys, business development team members, pitch and proposal team members and other departments, leveraging the firm’s experience data in Foundation.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new attorneys in assigned group(s), working with other firm business professionals to ensure attorney information is gathered, posted, and distributed promptly upon arrival, and that attorneys are briefed on available resources.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with external vendors supporting business development activities (e.g., client entertainment, sponsorships, conferences).
- Assist in managing awards and ranking submissions in collaboration with the communications team and other departments.
- Identify business development and marketing opportunities for attorneys, including trending topics, speaking engagements, and client relationship growth.
- Collaborate with the research team to gather client insights and prepare reports to support business development efforts.
- Help develop and monitor marketing budgets for assigned groups and offices.
- Develop and maintain client lists, contact databases, and communication templates using InterAction and Vuture.
- Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute seminars, sponsorships, and conferences for the practice groups.
- Define timelines and benchmarks for strategic initiatives and business development opportunities.
- Provide analysis on marketplace trends, client feedback, and industry developments to inform business strategies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates with business development experience.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Must be an independent self-starter capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM) and matter management systems experience preferred.
- Must be able to assist multiple individuals of various levels with diverse needs and problems simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, editing, and proofreading skills required.
- Must have a high degree of professionalism.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills to ensure error free work product.
- Strong judgment and ability to make independent decisions with consultation from attorneys, firm leaders, and colleagues as part of developing, implementing, and assessing the marketplace, practice groups industry strategies.
- Ability to accommodate occasional overnight travel.
