Softball Coach / Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Softball Coach / Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in playing / coaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes. This position will be responsible for developing players' skills, promoting teamwork, and encouraging personal growth both on and off the field.

Responsibilities

• Instruction for players of all ages in group classes, camps, private lessons and parties held at our facility and at offsite locations
• Conduct training sessions focusing on technique, strategy, and teamwork.
• Manage behavior effectively to create a supportive learning environment.
• Educate athletes on the rules of the game, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
• Organize and lead team meetings to discuss goals, strategies, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive athletic program.
• Monitor the progress of each player and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Foster a positive team culture that encourages participation and enjoyment of the sport.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in an educational or athletic setting is preferred.
• Strong behavior management skills to maintain discipline while promoting a positive atmosphere.
• Background in physical education or related fields is advantageous.
• Available to work on select weekday afternoons through evenings and/or weekend days
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with athletes, parents, and staff.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in coaching techniques.
• Experience as a player, an instructor or coach is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
