What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen staff position at Frozen Smoke BBQ LLC?
Pays $15/hour, starts with a 30 day probation/training period in which you and the manager will decide if this is a good fit for you and the business. During this training time you will not be eligible for tips. Once the 30 day probational period has passed we will have an evaluation of your progress and determine if you are a good fit for Frozen Smoke BBQ. If yes, you will now be eligible to collect tips, if no, we appreciate your time with us and we will part ways.
Tasks and responsibilities include the following but may change and fluctuate as we grow and change our menus and work flow:
Work in a commercial kitchen using safe food handling and cleaning procedures
Use of commercial kitchen equipment including:
Meat slicer, Shredder, Griddle, Deep fryer, Food Warmers/steam tables, toaster, Heat lamps, 3 sink compartment washing, Rinse sink, Veggie sink, Hand sink.
Prep veggies daily as needed
Slicing, Dicing, Shredding (by hand and w/machines)
Follow recipes to make sauces, brines etc
Inventory items daily to determine:
More Prep needed
More inventory needed from vendor
Cashiering: Must be able to interact with customers in a cheerful and professional manner. order/process payments/money handling etc.
-Knowledge of menu items
-Ability to run POS system
-Manage customer complaints/concerns/questions
Customer orders will include:
Making Smash burgers on griddle.
Frying chips
Frying Wings
Prepping Buns with a burger person or while you cook burgers
Building items at the nacho bar to order.
Including nachos, overmacs and any other item from that station.
This is definitely not a complete list of food items but it is an overall view of a day to day list.
