Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Landscaping Assistant to help us get our new landscaping business off the ground. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for outdoor work, strong communication skills, and an interest in helping build and grow a business. You’ll assist with landscaping tasks, help acquire clients, and assist with the day-to-day operations of the business.
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with initial landscaping work, including mowing, trimming, planting, and maintaining properties.
  • Water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans
  • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws
• Help create and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients.
• Coordinate the scheduling of landscaping jobs and manage client appointments.
• Build and maintain relationships with potential clients.
• Help with managing equipment, inventory, and maintaining business operations.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes
• Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws

Qualifications:

• Past experience as a landscaper/groundskeeper preferred
• Experience with the use of hand-held and power tools
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, comfortably lift 40 pounds repetitively, and work on your feet for long periods of time
• Willing to work in all weather elements
• Good communication skills for client interaction and marketing.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Enthusiasm for growing a new business and contributing to its success.
