Job Overview:
Responsible for all incoming and outgoing shipments and the internal movement of material. Maintains correct inventory levels. Communicates with internal and external customers to ensure the accurate and timely movement of product and materials.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Ensures adherence to company policies and process standards, while maintaining employee morale
- Ensures all employees are treated fairly and with respect
- Ensures all safety procedures and environmental regulations are followed
- Develops shipping and receiving processes and procedures
- Determines storage space requirements
- Oversees the preparation of materials for shipping and all loading and unloading operations
- Ensures the accuracy of all inventory, receiving and shipping documents
- Monitors and reports on inventories of stock and ensures adequate levels are maintained.
- Communicates with all departments, staff members and shifts, and partners with suppliers and customers to facilitate effective shipping and receiving operations.
- Initiates changes in working conditions and processes in increase efficiency, accuracy and quality
- Interacts with carriers and manages delivery appointment schedules
- Manages the inter-departmental transport of materials
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Creates and utilizes reports such as product flow and inventory levels
- Has the ability to use hand-trucks, forklifts and pallet jacks, and lift 50 pounds. Meets the physical demands of this position, with reasonable accommodation as needed
