POSITION SUMMARY

The Forklift driver performs quality control, sorting and maintaining flow of components through the warehouse to assure that quality - checked materials are available to the production lines and other departments.

Standards of Performance: Each is considered an essential function.

• Consistently demonstrates and incorporates principals of safety for self and others into daily activities. Attends required safety training and participates in emergency drills and exercises.
• Develops and maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers and ensures participation in Goodwill safety programs.
• Reports any incident of theft or unauthorized possession of company property.
• Consistently maintains acceptable level of productivity.
• Requires punctual and regular attendance. Time away from work is approved and taken in accordance with established policies.
• Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept.
• Delivers excellent customer service at all times with internal customers and works with a diverse population group.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and maintain inventory.
• Organize and secure materials, such as boxes, bales, pallets, and super stacks in a safe way.
• Scan pallets and materials using RFGEN scanners.
• Shrink wrap pallets to prepare them for shipping.
• Move hazardous materials.
• Report any faulty equipment, damage to racks, or other potential safety hazards.
• Attend certification refresher courses.
• Use basic math skills.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Analyze production schedules to determine movement, deliveries, and material requirements.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, oiling, recharging, refueling, etc.
• Consult and coordinate with manager, employees, other departments, and equipment manufacturers regarding loading and unloading operations.
• Attend meetings with manager and coworkers.
• Prepare, present and/or approve bill of ladings.
• Check in and approve new shipments.
• Perform quality checks.
• Adhere to uniform requirements.
• Rotate stock so oldest products are first picked.
• Be alert of other employees in the work zone.
• Report quality variances to the proper channels.
• Use radio frequency equipment as needed for picking, put-away, receiving, and load functions.
• Comply with OSHA Standards.
• Keep the Lines running by ensuring they have enough material at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, Team/or mission. Be detailed oriented to ensure the correct item goes to the correct line.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, participants, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables; exercise judgment, resourcefulness, ingenuity and initiative.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Must be able to lift 50lbs at one time as needed.

Salary : $17 - $20
