Tracks, evaluates, and contributes to the day-to-day accounting, finance, inventory, and product cost activities with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial data and reporting. Implements and follows systems to transact, collect, verify, and report accounting and financial information. Works closely with Procurement, Operations, and Product Management to ensure proper setup and cost assigned in the ERP system.
Key Responsibilities
- Transacts general accounting and general ledger functions
- Develops manufacturing overhead standards
- Assembles and summarizes data to structure reports
- Reviews production orders
- Reviews inventory levels
- Assists with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
- Assesses current practices and procedures and makes recommendations for improvements
- Makes recommendations to business stakeholders based on accounting and financial trends
- Prepares and reviews financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assists with yearly budgeting and monthly forecasting
- Provides on-going training and maintains strong employee relationships
- Works with external auditors to ensure correct and timely reporting at year-end
- Performs ad hoc projects as requested
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and evaluation.
