As an Industrial Painter at FS-Elliott, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and application of protective coatings to various industrial equipment and parts. Key Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion on various parts and equipment.
- Painting & Coating: Apply primers, paints, and industrial coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes to parts and machinery as per specifications.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect finished work for defects, thickness, uniformity, and overall quality, ensuring all coatings meet company standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean painting equipment, ensuring all tools and machines are in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following environmental regulations.
- Documentation: Accurately document work completed and any issues encountered during the painting process.
- Collaboration: Work with production teams to meet deadlines and ensure the highest quality of painted equipment.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial painting or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial paints, coatings, and surface preparation methods (e.g., sandblasting, power washing).
Skills: Ability to operate spray guns, rollers, and other painting tools efficiently and safely.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various positions (e.g., kneeling, bending, or climbing).
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality, with the ability to identify surface defects and correct them.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in industrial painting is a plus.
