Description
As part of our growing team, we are looking for a dedicated Hydro Test Laborer to support the testing of critical machinery components and ensure our products meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up machines and components for hydro pressure testing.
- Perform basic preparation tasks, such as connecting testing equipment and verifying pressure settings.
- Monitor equipment during testing to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to testing and report any abnormalities to the Testing Supervisor.
- Record and document test data, including any issues, failures, or irregularities.
- Perform visual inspections of test components for leaks, cracks, or other visible damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized testing area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly and ready for use.
- Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of test equipment and components as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient completion of tests.
- Assist in other tasks and departments as needed, including the production or assembly of components.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a labor or manufacturing role is preferred, particularly in testing, assembly, or quality assurance.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing tasks.
- Ability to read and understand basic technical documents, safety guidelines, and test reports.
- Previous experience in hydro testing or industrial testing environments is a plus, but not required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment with varying temperature conditions.
- Strong communication skills to report issues and relay information to supervisors.
