The Production Manager - Quality Support at ARC Products Global LLC plays an essential role in ensuring the highest quality standards while driving seamless customer interactions. This role combines quality assurance with strategic production coordination to support the efficient and effective management of production schedules, customer relations, and compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards. Key Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance & Customer Interface
- Customer Engagement : Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality- related matters. Handle inquiries about product specifications, quality issues, delivery concerns, and post-production support. Efficiently manage and resolve nonconformance reports (NCMRs), customer complaints, and feedback while maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
- Documentation and Reporting : Ensure the timely and accurate completion of quality assurance reports. This includes preparing and reviewing inspection reports, packing lists, and Certificates of Conformance (C of C) for materials and products before they are sent to customers. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, such as material and product specifications, through careful documentation and verification.
- Inspection & Equipment : Oversee the use of various inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, pins, optical comparators, Oasis inspection systems, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify product conformance during production and final Manage the scheduling and execution of in-process inspections, ensuring that all parts meet the highest quality standards before they reach the customer.
- Customer Portal Management : Regularly interact with customer portals to retrieve and confirm orders, track shipment details, input data, and generate Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs). Ensure that all necessary customer documentation is entered and updated in the system in a timely manner.
Production Support & Coordination
Production Scheduling : Take the lead in coordinating production schedules in close collaboration with the Production and Engineering teams. Ensure that production priorities align with customer orders and company capabilities. Adjust schedules as needed based on order complexity, material availability, and staffing levels.Manpower & Resource Planning : Assist in determining the workforce needs for the production Collaborate with HR to define hiring requirements, help onboard and train new staff, and ensure proper allocation of resources. Contribute to workforce management strategies that optimize productivity and quality.Tooling and Materials Management : Ensure the availability of necessary tooling and materials for production processes. This includes overseeing the ordering process, ensuring materials meet required specifications, and maintaining the control of Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and proper material identification throughout production.Training and Compliance Support : Help maintain and update training logs for production staff, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and ISO / AS9100 requirements. Ensure training is aligned with operational needs and regulatory standards.Quality System & Documentation
ISO9001 / AS9100 Compliance : Oversee the adherence to ISO9001 and AS9100 quality management system standards. Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation, participating in audit activities, and implementing corrective actions based on audit findings.Gage Calibration & Record-Keeping : Schedule and oversee gage calibration activities, ensuring that all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Ensure that records related to calibration are accurate and up to date, supporting traceability and qualityContract Review & Record Maintenance : Assist in the contract review process by maintaining detailed records of customer contracts and orders, verifying compliance with customer specifications, and ensuring that necessary data and documentation are gathered to support production and shipment.Material C of C & Identification : Take responsibility for the management of material certificates of conformance (C of C) and ensure that materials used in production are appropriately identified and documented in accordance with both customer and regulatoryCompliance with EAR / ITAR : Be familiar with Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), ensuring that company practices align with these export control laws, particularly with regard to materials, components, andSkills and Qualifications :
Experience and Knowledge of Quality Standards : Extensive experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems, including the ability to support internal audits, document control,and process improvements. A strong understanding of quality assurance tools and techniques is essential.
Inspection Skills : Proficient in using a variety of inspection tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, pins, optical comparators, Oasis systems, CMM), with hands-on experience in quality control processes, including process and final inspection.Customer Relations & Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective customer Capable of responding to customer queries, addressing complaints, and communicating quality issues in a professional manner.ERP / Customer Portal Proficiency : Familiarity with using customer portals and ERP systems to manage orders, enter data, track shipments, and maintain customer records. Ability to navigate and utilize technology to streamline production and documentation processes.Regulatory Knowledge : Familiar with EAR and ITAR compliance and the regulatory environment affecting manufacturing Knowledge of AS1300-01 certification and the ability to assist in certification processes is a plus.Organizational & Documentation Skills : Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.This position is not responsible for direct machine operation but requires a comprehensive understanding of production processes, quality standards, and effective coordination to ensure successful production outcomes and customer satisfaction.
