1. Scope
- Sales Specialist, Motive Power
- Exempt, Salaried Position
- Reports to Business Development Manager
- Location: FSIP Electronics, Carlisle PA
2. Purpose
This position is responsible for growing sales within the MarooOn and S.P.E Product lines, in alignment with overall company sales and marketing objectives. Our Motive Power Sales Specialists learn about business’s needs and provides them with solutions from customizable chargers for lithium and lead-acid batteries, to automating their battery reconditioning and testing process.
3. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Achieve Sales Objectives of the MarooOn and SPE product lines
- Contact customers in-person and via telephone. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel within target customer base on a regular and consistent basis
- Keep customers informed on all products and programs
- Process customers incoming quotes, orders and questions on pending orders
- Manage entered orders and provide updates to the customers as needed
- Follow-up with customers on open pending issues and document accordingly
- Follow up with customer and internal sales staff to address any issues or sales opportunities
- Assist sales support team and quality department when a customer requires a higher level of service
- Perform onsite demonstrations as needed
- Develop and implement business plan for MarooOn and SPE product lines
4. Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to emails and calls in a timely manner
- Assist with trade shows and conventions as needed
- Conduct sales analysis reports as needed
- Make high level presentations to customer staff and related companies
- Quote products and/or services
- Enter orders accurately
- Maintain CRM notes on accounts
- Communicate with the other departments on pending orders
- Travel to prospect and customer locations
- Provide technical support for Motive Power products
5. Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
6. Knowledge and Skills
- A minimum of two years prior sales experience required
- Technical background of markets we serve is a plus
- Organizational and time management skills
- Computer skills, including working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
- Communications skills, including; phone skills as well as verbal, written, and listening skills
- Strong sense of initiative and self-starter
- Desire and ability to solve problems
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
7. Fiscal Responsibility
- Utilize good judgment regarding entertaining customers and general expense judgment
- Use of company credit card for customer business only
8. Extent of Public Contact (Travel)
- Position requires high level of customer contact both in person and via telephone
- Interaction with all levels of company management
- Must represent the company in a professional manner at all times
