Access Control & Security System Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

FSS Technologies is seeking an experienced Security and Access Control Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining advanced security and access control systems. A strong background in industry-leading technologies, particularly DMP, Avigilon Ultra, and Avigilon Alta, is essential for this role. Additional knowledge of other top-tier access control solutions will be advantageous.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems and access control solutions, with a primary focus on DMP, Avigilon Ultra, and Avigilon Alta.
• Ensure the security systems are optimized for both functionality and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to access control and security system software and hardware.
• Conduct site assessments and work with clients to design customized security and access control solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and emerging technologies in security and access control.
• Provide training and support to end-users on system functionalities and operations.
• Document installations, configurations, and maintenance activities following company standards.

KEY COMPETENCIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.

• Certification or proven expertise in DMP and Avigilon Ultra/Alta systems.
• Additional certifications in related access control and security systems are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in security systems and access control.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of industry best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to client sites.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in a related field preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to move around construction sites, including walking on uneven ground.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Use of hands for tool maintenance and handling construction materials.
• Consistent use of PPE for safety
• Primarily outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions
• Position may require travel: Up to 40%
• Perform work with OSHA required PPE
