Job Description:
To ensure success as a Driver Recruiting Supervisor, you will establish and maintain a strong network of driver candidates, ensure all leads, candidate follow-up, and internal customer follow-up are executed with priority. You will publish retention reports and lead recruitment and retention meetings with the Transportation Team. Additionally, you will have 2 direct reports, and responsible for establishing and maintaining the KPIs and metrics of the department and help establish goals and checks within the department. You will ensure the overall standards of FST’s safety & compliance programs are met as they apply to all potential and new hires including completion of Driver qualification and Clearinghouse prior to hiring, assisting in administration of controlled substance testing and any other safety & compliance issues, and coordinate pre-employment background check and DOT drug screens. The Driver Recruiter Supervisor will manage the recruiting budget and be the main point of contact for all vendors and channels owning the marketing strategies. You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business processes and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST. The Driver Recruiting Supervisor will also assist in new hire orientation and training as well as safety meetings. You will play an active role in the on-going development of the Driver Program, including Driver Retention.
Responsibilities:
- Manage team of recruiters across transportation business units
- Oversee and responsible to adhere to driver recruitment budget
- Identify and report on core driver recruitment metrics
- Review and improve KPIs, processes, procedures, hiring requirements, etc. and create data-driven culture for recruiting to drive business decisions
- Develop and implement solutions related to driver recruitment and ensure minimal truck vacancy
- Identify, build, and maintain strategic relationships with critical vendors and continually develop and retain a high performing team by attracting, engaging, and rewarding performance and skill building
Qualifications and Skillsets:

- Take ownership of your Duty to Communicate all required and relevant information to necessary people, departments, and customers
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years driver recruiting experience or related experience in the transportation industry
- Knowledgeable in TenStreet
- Marketing and advertising experience
- Strong knowledge in driver safety (HOS, DOT regulations, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong communication skills (in-person, over the phone, email, and text)
- Excellent organizational, time management, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong negotiation skills
