What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply chain manager position at FSTONE Technologies?
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize all supply chain operations, including purchasing, planning, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes. Experience in medical device manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchasing:
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of materials and services.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to improve cost-efficiency, reduce risk, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure continuity of supply.
Supply Chain Planning:
- Oversee demand forecasting, production scheduling, and capacity planning to ensure that production needs are met without overstocking or stockouts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain objectives with business goals.
- Utilize advanced planning tools and ERP systems to streamline planning processes.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock is maintained for smooth operations.
- Implement inventory control policies and best practices to minimize waste and reduce carrying costs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and lead efforts to resolve any discrepancies.
Distribution & Logistics:
- Oversee the logistics operations for domestic and international shipments, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with 3PL providers, freight carriers, and distribution centers to optimize delivery schedules, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency.
- Continuously assess and improve logistics strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP) and company policies.
- Proactively manage supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, material shortages, and transportation delays.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a collaborative environment, encourage professional growth, and maintain an ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record in purchasing, planning, inventory, and distribution.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics), and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with demand forecasting, capacity planning, and logistics management.
Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects effectively.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full-time position.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Office-based role with some flexibility for remote work depending on business needs.
