We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers and goods safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to transport passengers or goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules, delays, or changes in routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods or assisting passengers with luggage.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle both inside and out to ensure a pleasant travel experience.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar driving role (Delivery Driver, Limousine Driver, Bus Driver, Paratransit).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent driving record with knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records of trips and deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices is a plus.
