Description
Under the direct supervision of the EVS Manager responsible for the daily operations of the EVS Department, including staff supervision, inventory control and the janitorial maintenance of all areas of the Casino and its surrounding property. Works directly with the EVS Manager on enforcing and implementing all established hygienic and safety standards as required by all applicable federal and state health and safety codes
- Ensures that all employees receive adequate guidance and resources to perform work according to the established objectives from the supervisory staff
- Assists in hiring, training, employee evaluations and supervises all housekeeping staff.
- Trains staff and monitor proper and safe use of chemicals, machines and any related materials used within the scope of the duties.
- Assists in developing and maintaining EVS operating procedures to ensure effective execution of work.
- Conduct meetings with EVS Manager, supervisory staff and frontline staff to improve service and department performance.
- Conduct inspections of working areas.
- Orders and maintains proper inventory of department equipment, and supplies.
- Maintains good communication with co-workers and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- Contributes to team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. A minimum of three years of directly related janitorial service experience. Previous supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of chemicals and cleaning techniques, and federal and state applicable health and safety standards. Bilingual a plus.
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license in California.
Tribal preference given to qualified tribal members.
