POSITION TITLE:  Mealsite Supervisor (Meals on Wheels Site Supervisor)

Reports To:  Nutrition Program Director

Pay Scale: $35,000 - $45,000 DOE

 

Hours: 7am – 4pm Monday through Friday (1hr unpaid for lunch) in administrative office (on site). Travel to meal sites in 8 county service area in Agency vehicle.


Job Summary: Supervise all nutrition sites and site coordinators in 8 county service area for Meals on Wheels program. Monitors all nutrition sites regularly, trains all new coordinators, works with public to recruit volunteers. Regularly travels to all meal sites in agency vehicle. There may be other travel and public speaking opportunities/requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all meal site coordinators.
2. Recruit and train volunteers, public speaking may be required.
3. Monitor each meal site regularly (a minimum yearly) and make appropriate follow-up regarding monitoring activities.
4. Work with coordinators in developing meal delivery routes.
5. Perform all required duties related to the SAMS computer system.
6. Train new meal site coordinators.
7. Plan and conduct training for all coordinators annually at a minimum.
8. ServSafe certified (needs to be certified during first year of employment).
9. Attend workshops and training sessions as required.

10. Performs data entry, maintains program files, ensures compliance with funding requirements, and completes program paperwork.

11. Community outreach and public speaking to educate others about Meals on Wheels for support. Relationship development and management with community partners regionally.
12. Maintain close cooperative relationships with all networking agencies in addition to community outreach to bring awareness to program.
13. Must be self-directed and ability to work in team environment cooperatively and harmoniously co-workers, volunteers, clients and public.

14. Participates in staff meetings, conferences and training. Takes notes at staff meetings and team meetings.
15. Abides by Agency Rules, Regulations, Policies, Procedures and Agency Handbook.

Experience and Education:
Must have a genuine desire to work with the elderly. Candidate must have the ability to accurately compile and maintain records and reports. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Excellent organizational skills required along with some supervisory experience. Must be organized and detailed oriented. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. High School diploma required. Certified Dietary Manager and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Maintain appropriate certification in food safety and sanitation. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
