About The Role
The Global Insurance Services Practice is looking for property casualty actuaries with 8 years of experience. As a Director, you will be responsible for delivering actuarial services to a variety of insurance companies, corporate entities, and/or law firm clients.
What You’ll Do
- Take a leadership role in client engagements to include pricing, reserving (including Statement of Actuarial Opinion work), due diligence, development of rating models, predictive modeling, internal controls assessments, and litigation support.
- Interact confidently and professionally with FTI and client personnel throughout various engagements.
- Assist with the development of proposals and participate in other business development initiatives.
- Oversee staff in execution of actuarial services.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
- Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (near Associates are also encouraged to apply)
- 8 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of consulting experience
- Experience with predictive modeling tools and languages, such as R
- Demonstrated ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
