Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support, design, maintain and monitor internal and external networks.
- Implement and manage all systems, applications, security and network configurations.
- Resolve network performance issues and establishes a disaster recovery plan.
- Recommend upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users.
- Rely on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or department head.
- This position will require privilege access and DODM 8570.01M restrictions will apply.
Required:
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 18 years’ related professional experience;
- Or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 10 years’ related professional experience.
- Must possess a current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), CompTIA Security , or DOD 8140 Basic Proficiency.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and as needed RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware.
- Experience in effective communication and collaborating in a high-performance team environment.
- Group Policy design and configuration.
- Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies.
- Working knowledge of virtualization as it applies to users environments, operating systems, and network appliances.
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies.
- Working knowledge communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration.
- Working knowledge and current relevant experience with IL4 and above network environments/systems.
- Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration.
- Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework and how to apply it to network/information system environments.
- Working knowledge in the following programming languages:
- Bash scripting, Python
- You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command.
- Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office.
Salary : $120,037 - $202,563
