The Field Engineer is a very qualified technical assistant to the field, acting as a liaison between the QA/QC Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendents and office. In this role, candidate will support the technical tools (iPads, QA/QC software, BIM360Field, Bluebeam), communicate project specifications needed for and any support details/drawings needed for QA/QC tasks needed to keep the field QA/QC resources efficient. Candidate will be responsible for project documentation including, but not limited to, RFI, submittal, daily field reporting and production quantity tracking. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, willing and able to learn project checklist and issue management software packages, knowledge of trade terminology and components is necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 4 years related trade experience
or
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
Experience: 2 years of related experience
Travel: Up to 100%
Work Schedule
Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Leads training needs for technology tools, software applications, and SOP’s.
- Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors
- Prepare work plans, assure quality control, manage, and track cost and materials, schedule equipment, administer safety programs.
- Board knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling and cost control as well as to read and understand specification and engineering drawings
- Working knowledge of proposals and bid process
- Understands contractual requirements for the project
- Strong organizing, managing, and executing planning skills
- Ensures detailed procedures and checklists are in place to document that installations conform to specification and industry standard criteria.
- Collects and enters data for KPI reporting and visual reporting.
- Provide support material and reports to project leads as required.
- Provide support for commissioning activities.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
