Job Summary:
The Figure Skating Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Figure Skating Director with the for the day-to-day management, organization and administration of all Baptist Health IcePlex Programming for the Figure Skating Department.
Job Functions:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Communications between coaches, staff, athletes, parents and arena management.
- Input and manage all Learn to Skate, freestyle and other skating programming in the DaySmart point of sale (POS) system
- Inform customers of daily schedule and/or changes via email, social media, and phone.
- Keep all customer accounts updated
- Act as figure monitor when needed
- Be a presence for families during Learn to Skate classes. Assist with running classes
- Resolve the Aging Report.
- Respond to all calls and emails in a timely manner
- Perform Manager on Duty shifts when needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong Skating Skills and understanding of the developmental pipeline
- Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
- Strong customer service skills, and ability to resolve conflict
- Strong communication skills, both internally with staff and externally with customers
- Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently on assigned tasks while under pressure.
- The ability to work as a team player and have good self-motivational skills.
- Sound organizational and time management skills.
- Job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
- A flexible schedule – ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds with no assistance.
- Sitting, standing, walking, kneeling
- Low to high decibel levels of noise
- Must be able to work in a cold environment and on the ice for extended periods of time
Work Environment
This position works in a professional ice hockey practice facility, where the noise level is generally high, crowd traffic is heavy, and temperatures are often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a Full-Time Exempt position. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
