This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, including a team practice rink with stadium seating, the Panthers’ new practice facilities spanning over 33,000 sq.ft. of offices and off-ice training facilities, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. Short Description:
The Retail Sales Associate has the opportunity to develop great relationships with our repeat customers in addition to informing the first-time customer of everything we have to offer.
Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting our guests with finding what they need, whether that is officially licensed Panthers merchandise or hockey or figure skating equipment. The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for enhancing customer experience and sales generation in the following areas:
Essential Dutiees & Reponsibilities:
- General Customer Service
- Processing cash and credit card sales in point of sale & balancing at end of shift
- Assisting Customers with Buying Decisions
- Sharpening hockey and figure skates
- Equipment repair
- Increasing Sales Volume
- Monitoring Inventory / Theft Prevention
- Maintaining Store Appearance
- Merchandising / Creating Displays
Qualifications:
- Sales Experience Preferred; Sports/Retail Sales Experience preferred
- Playing Experience in Hockey or Figure Skating preferred
- Knowledge of Hockey and/or figure skating equipment preferred
- High School Diploma Preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and presentation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
This position works at a professional ice rink, where the noise level can be generally high, crowd traffic can sometimes be heavy, and temperatures are often cold; lights are bright or dark with occasional exposure to flashing lights.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt (hourly) position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
