about the role

We are seeking a passionate graphic designer with a strong interest in concept development to join our team. You’ll work on a broad range of projects, so a general understanding of design principles and production processes across different mediums is essential. Additionally, you thrive in concept development and strategic thinking, and enjoy turning ambiguous ideas into tangible experiences. You will work in small teams with strategists, project managers, analysts, and other designers to make a project come to life. During this, you’re challenged to think creatively, problem solve, ideate and refine. You will work with suppliers and external agencies for production needs.

who are you

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or you have equivalent professional experience.
• Ideally, you are based in the New York metro area and are available for occasional travel. This position is hybrid (minimum of 2 days per week in the office)
• You have eligibility work in the US (no VISA sponsorships).

relevant experience and mindset

• A strong portfolio that reflects a keen aesthetic eye and your understanding of basic design principles, particularly a strong grasp on typography.
• Creative confidence: you feel confident taking ambiguous ideas and turning them into concrete products and cohesive digital concepts. You feel comfortable taking initiative in the creative process and executing with a high level of detail.
• Collaboration skills: you feel comfortable collaborating with a project team. You can reach out for help, especially when working with remote teams. And since we are a Dutch-born organization, our communication style is direct and honest.
• Flexibility and problem-solving: as a consultancy that works with clients going through complex (and sometimes fast) changes, we remain flexible and agile. You are able to problem-solve on the fly, remain flexible and be open to changes.
• Digital first: we work across a large array of mediums, though digital affluence is particularly important in our work. Experience with digital products, UX/UI, or similar is preferred.
• Self-starter: you are proactive and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are a young, fast-paced company. The ability to take initiative and communicate what you need is key.
• Detail-oriented and organized: you can work in a highly structured manner and have a good eye for detail. You can give other designers feedback and assistance.

what we offer

We offer a challenging and highly creative environment to help you grow in your career. Our network of colleagues is worldwide, and we have regular in-person team events in Amsterdam. Since we are international, we work primarily remotely. However, for this role, you are expected to be in our New York office regularly as we are growing a new local team. Our New York office is in central Soho (with daily lunch and good coffee provided!).

You are encouraged to work on your own portfolio and ftrprf’s portfolio. Also, a personal leadership development program, professional skills, and a professional coach will be part of the program.

This role's starting base salary range is $ 50K - 60K. Actual salary may vary based on skill level, work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process. We offer 25 days of PTO, health insurance, and 401K.
