What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRPC Buyer position at FTS (Fast Tracking Solutions)?
As an MRPC (Material Requirements Planning & Control) Buyer, you’ll play an integral role in the preparation, planning, issuing, and controlling of production schedules while coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials is timed to meet production needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional teams while also advising management on the status of work and helping to overcome potential production obstacles.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain component planning data and dynamic data to enable demand cascade through the supply chain, ensuring a committed plan.
- Act as the primary interface and lead operational relationships with suppliers, coordinating all improvement activities related to planning, control, inventory, delivery, and lead time.
- Understand load and capacity constraints within suppliers that may impact performance and delivery.
- Lead business reviews with suppliers to ensure requirements are met, considering quality, total cost, and delivery impacts on the supply chain team.
- Ensure business reviews are supported by appropriate functions as needed.
- Manage and coordinate delivery issues, report shortages, and implement recovery programs to meet the plan, escalating issues as required.
- Ensure paperwork and information transfer related to part movements comply with business and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve unverified invoice queries related to schedule changes and goods receipt, working with buyers to resolve any price-blocked invoices.
Basic Qualifications:
- An associate degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or Operations with 4 years of experience in a supply chain or operations environment OR
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or Operations with 2 years of experience in a supply chain or operations environment OR
- A master's degree in Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, or Operations with 0 years of experience in a supply chain or operations environment OR
- In lieu of a degree, 6 years of experience in a supply chain or operations environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered for this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP experience.
- Experience with APICS.
- Experience with project management.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
