Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to join their team.
This role involves overseeing daily financial operations, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in cash management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume, multi-site environments, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile banking accounts for daily deposits across multiple offices and address discrepancies or missing deposits.
- Perform daily reconciliation of company operating accounts.
- Ensure accurate recording of cash management transactions in the General Ledger system.
- Analyze monthly account statements for significant variances and resolve issues with financial institutions.
- Collaborate with banks, credit card processors, and third-party lenders to address adjustments and discrepancies.
- Review and allocate bank service charges to appropriate internal departments.
- Manage the reorder of deposit supplies, including tickets, stamps, and bags.
- Handle additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in accounting
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset with colleagues and external partners.
- Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
