We are partnered with a homebuilder who is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead the sales team, drive performance, and oversee market research for new home sales. This role involves developing sales strategies, coaching the team, and managing relationships with prospective buyers to achieve company sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather competitive market intelligence by visiting competitor communities, tracking pricing, product specs, sales data, and incentives.
- Collaborate with external consultants to conduct market research and stay updated on local market trends and opportunities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Recruit and hire top-tier sales talent by monitoring competitors' sales teams and conducting periodic visits to identify potential candidates.
- Lead team motivation and recognition programs, including sales contests to inspire top performance.
- Set clear expectations and performance goals for the sales team, ensuring accountability for achieving targets.
- Manage CRM engagement and ensure its proper use within the sales team.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to sales staff through formal and informal methods, including role-playing and regular performance discussions.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 5 years of new home sales experience, with at least 2 years in a management role focused on sales coaching required.
- Active state Real Estate License and valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building relationships and achieving sales goals.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
