Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role is essential for supporting the design and drafting of residential projects, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards.
Duties
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using software such as SolidWorks, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
- Draft schematics and layouts for residential projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Assist in the development of project documentation, including technical drawings and reports.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Use Sketchup for conceptual designs and preliminary layouts.
- Support the build process by providing accurate drawings that guide construction efforts.
- Contribute to 2D animation projects as needed, enhancing presentations with visual aids.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician or similar role in residential construction environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, MicroStation, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, Sketchup, and others.
- Familiarity with drafting techniques for schematics and technical drawings.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
