Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in evaluating and estimating the costs for civil construction projects, ensuring that our developments meet both budgetary constraints and high standards of quality. As a Civil Estimator, you will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to produce accurate and competitive bids for a variety of residential and commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
- Develop detailed take-offs for all materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify potential cost savings or efficiencies during the pre-construction phase.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and submission packages, including breakdowns of material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Perform cost analysis, comparing initial estimates to actual expenditures to improve future cost estimation processes.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other vendors to obtain pricing and ensure accurate estimation.
- Track and analyze project budget performance throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
- Review and update cost estimating methods to stay current with industry trends and new technologies.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies related to estimating or budgeting during the construction phase.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in civil estimating, preferably in the residential or commercial construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Timberline, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local construction codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Certification in estimating (e.g., AACE or ASPE) is a plus.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
