Commodity Manager

A well-established international manufacturer serving the heavy-duty vehicle market is currently seeking a Commodity Manager for its Arcade, New York location. With operations across North America, Europe, and Asia, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As the Commodity Manager, you will:

• Develop and negotiate long-term supplier agreements to ensure optimal value in procurement.
• Lead sourcing efforts for parts related to new product development within assigned commodities.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives to meet annual price performance targets.
• Collaborate with global divisions to streamline and consolidate supplier networks.
• Oversee commercial supplier relationships within your commodity portfolio.
• Support Production Buyers with any sourcing or supplier-related challenges.
• Contribute to value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects with suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong skills in communication, project management, and computer applications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally (less than 20%)
• Familiarity with IATF-16949 or ISO standards is a plus.
• Effective team player in cross-functional settings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
