What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at FTS Inc?
The Market Area Controller is responsible for developing budgets for divisional review by regional leadership and overseeing accounting operations across several cost centers within multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes to ensure timely completion and reporting.
Collaborates with the Assistant Controller to identify and resolve inconsistencies in reporting related to specific accounts and database activity mapping.
Assists the Regional Controller in maintaining compliance with control performance, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and adhering to the company's principles and standards, SOX, and GAAP.
Oversees the preparation of financial statements and filings to comply with GAAP guidelines.
Measures costs and controls through annual operating budgets to align with manufacturing requirements.
Develops, implements, and manages control systems to maintain company integrity and manage regional distribution inventories.
Communicates with the accounting team and other departments to facilitate future planning and ensure current operations meet financial and operational objectives; sets clear goals for direct reports to promote accountability and feedback.
Conducts ad hoc financial analyses and prepares reports to support decision-making processes.
Assists in budgeting and cash management activities while overseeing audits of policies to safeguard organizational assets.
Leads and manages team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear objectives, coaching on goal attainment, and providing access to training and development opportunities that enhance skills for achieving team and corporate objectives.
Participates in training and learning opportunities to deepen understanding of the company, its products, sales, and services, while performing any additional duties that support our vision, mission, and core values.
Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations and laws regarding employment and employee safety.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
