What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Purchasing position at FTS Inc?
- Analyze current and future material availability by evaluating market trends and delivery systems.
- Oversee the budgeting process for the purchasing department.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and guidelines for purchasing and contract management.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of personnel and vendors involved in sourcing, buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, supplies, and services.
- Hire, interview, and train staff members.
- Contribute to the development and approval of specifications for equipment, products, and alternative materials.
- Process and manage weekly supply orders.
- Review all Capital Expenditures to ensure adherence to company policies and obtain necessary approvals.
- Prepare reports as needed, including Capital Expenditures, utilization, and merchandise cost reports.
- Address vendor or contractor concerns, grievances, and claims, ensuring proper resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies by reviewing purchase order claims and contracts and collaborating with relevant departments.
- Review, assess, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
