Freight Bill Audit Specialist - Charlotte, NC Position Overview
- Location: Charlotte, NC – Local candidates only. Onsite position with potential hybrid flexibility (minimum 3 days in the office).
This role supports the Freight Audit & Payment program within the Global Logistics Organization. The position requires collaboration with internal and external business partners to process exception invoices, match freight spend with shipment records, and maintain basic freight spend reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Resolve exception invoices, identify root causes of exceptions, and develop corrective actions with the appropriate business partners.
- Maintain freight payment data for Global Logistics spend visibility platforms, transportation management systems, spend anomaly applications, freight audit and payment solutions, and other digital tools.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their freight invoice processes and implement/maintain procedures in a centralized audit tool.
- Support the monthly freight spend accrual process.
- Maintain global logistics spend reports.
- Manage validation table updates to align with all Global Logistics Organization (GLO) systems.
- Support key initiatives of Global Logistics Organization (GLO), Global Supply Management (GSM), and business supply chain initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Logistics Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management preferred).
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the logistics industry, invoice auditing, and/or accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is required. Knowledge of Power BI, Flows, or SharePoint is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets to drive actionable insights.
- Results-oriented with excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
