Graphic Designer I
Hybrid – Candidates should be local to Charlotte or surrounding areas
Position Overview:
This role requires expertise in visual design, with proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. The Graphic Designer will develop impactful designs that align with brand standards and support the company’s mission of innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality print and digital materials, including brochures, presentations, posters, social media assets, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with marketing, product teams, and stakeholders to understand design requirements and deliver creative solutions.
- Provide creative direction and execution from concept to completion.
- Ensure all designs adhere to branding guidelines and maintain consistency across deliverables.
- Work with external vendors as needed, representing the company professionally.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Review projects to ensure all necessary information is provided before design work begins.
- Monitor project costs to ensure compliance with budget parameters and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Prepare print-ready and digital files for production, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
- Stay updated on design trends, tools, and techniques to keep designs fresh and relevant.
- Support additional creative projects as needed.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design work, including typography, layout, and color theory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience designing for both print and digital platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to take direction from managers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable working within a Mac operating system.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of interactive graphics.
- Basic HTML understanding.
- Familiarity with web design tools (e.g., Ceros) is a plus but not required.
- Experience with DSLR cameras is a plus but not required.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent job experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in graphic design.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Well-organized, collaborative, and receptive to direction.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers, coworkers, and management.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
