Job Summary:
The Command Center Analyst is responsible for assisting in the real-time monitoring and response to security and operational events within the Command Center. This role supports the senior analyst in maintaining the security posture of the organization by monitoring physical and information security systems, assisting in incident response efforts, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Command Center. The analyst will learn and grow within the role, with opportunities to develop skills in cybersecurity, IT operations, and incident management.
Responsibilities:
- Real-time Monitoring:
- Monitor physical security systems (e.g., access control, CCTV) and information security systems (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) for alerts and anomalies.
- Observe the operational status of monitored systems and networks, escalating issues as needed.
- Incident Response Support:
- Assist in the initial assessment and triage of security and operational incidents.
- Follow established incident response playbooks and procedures.
- Document incident details and maintain accurate records.
- Escalate issues to senior analyst as required.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Assist in the preparation of reports on security and operational metrics.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of Command Center activities.
- Assist in the documentation of procedures and playbooks.
- Threat Intelligence Support:
- Assist in the collection and analysis of threat intelligence data.
- Support threat hunting activities under the guidance of the senior analyst.
- Operational Support:
- Assist in the coordination of maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
- Respond to requests for support from other teams.
- Maintain awareness of current security threats.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the identification of areas for process improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on security and technology trends.
- Follow all security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and security information and event management (SIEM) systems (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in 1 a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
