Leasing Specialist
Duties:
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide them with information about available units
- Assist prospective tenants with the application process and ensure all required documents are collected
- Review and verify tenant applications, including conducting background and credit checks
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Respond to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a prompt and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and rental payments
- Collaborate with property management team to develop marketing strategies to attract new tenants
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or leasing is preferred
- Knowledge of leasing laws and regulations, including fair housing practices
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with prospective tenants
- Proficient in using computer software for data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
