Life Science Laboratory Technician II - Bedford, MA
Location:
100% Onsite - Bedford, MA
Interview Process:
One round - will be held onsite
One-year anticipated assignment with the possibility of extension based on business need and demand.
Working Hours:
- 40 hours, Full-Time
- Please note that work must be completed for the day, which may occasionally extend beyond 8 hours.
- Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. OR 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (may be flexible) – revolving weekends.
- Once trained and comfortable, the contingent worker will participate in a rotating schedule to work on weekends to maintain the Matrigel production cycle for the upcoming week.
Education:
- High School Diploma or higher, with relevant work experience
- Associate's Degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience working in a laboratory or life sciences environment, preferably in Biotechnology
Job Description:
- Works in the Reagents area, manufacturing Matrigel using well-defined processes.
Job Duties:
- Prepares buffers and sets up production runs.
- Collaborates with Quality Assurance to address non-conformance issues.
- Performs product manufacturing using centrifugation, buffer extractions, filtration, and dialysis methods.
- Utilizes ERP systems to execute production transactions.
Working Conditions:
- Work in clean rooms, general labs, and cold rooms ranging from 2 to -20 degrees Celsius. Specified PPE is required for each area.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves materials and objects up to 50 pounds.
Required Skills:
- Willingness to work as part of a team.
- Open to cross-training and developing multi-skilled abilities.
- Experience working with lab equipment and tools.
- Ability to follow directions and meet production requirements after training.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles

Pay: $24.00 - $26.67 per hour
