Mechanical Drafting/CAD Technician III - Painted Post, NY

Job Description:
This role involves using integrated computer-aided design (CAD) systems to systematically represent and specify the dimensions of mechanical and architectural structures. Responsibilities include preparing drawings or schematics for mechanical equipment and structures, utilizing CAD digitizing techniques, performing engineering computations, and preparing or revising specifications.
Requirements:
- Strong technical expertise and content knowledge in CAD design.
- Practical experience applying skills to solve complex problems.
- Full mastery of regular situations encountered in the role.
- Ability to independently resolve most issues by analyzing pertinent facts and evidence.
- Works under limited site supervision, coordinating activities beyond routine tasks.
- Recommends process improvements, meets deadlines, and ensures confidentiality and compliance.
- Frequent and broad internal contacts; external interactions may occur and could be sensitive in nature.
Top 3 Required Experience:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience with EPDM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience:
- AAS degree required (Drafting/Design or Mechanical Technician)
- Minimum 7 years of experience with CAD
