Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients throughout the mortgage application process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mortgage servicing, credit analysis, and underwriting processes.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Gather necessary documentation from clients to support loan processing.
- Analyze credit reports and financial statements to assess borrower eligibility.
- Ensure compliance with TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to facilitate smooth processing of loans.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and documentation related to each loan application.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on the status of their applications.
- Address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the processing phase.
Skills
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate calculations related to loans.
- Knowledge of TILA regulations and Fair Housing laws is essential.
- Experience in loan processing or mortgage servicing is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques and financial services.
- Familiarity with banking operations and underwriting processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
