Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale construction projects, a deep understanding of multifamily construction processes, and a proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and maintain project schedules.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and management of projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with architects, subcontractors, engineers, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met and resources are efficiently allocated.
- Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, including cost estimates, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project is completed within the allocated budget.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house staff, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with terms, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, issues, or obstacles and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines, costs, or quality.
- Quality Control: Ensure that construction work meets all relevant codes, standards, and quality expectations. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, progress reports, and resolve any concerns or issues as they arise.
- Permits and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and that the project complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Post-Construction: Oversee final project closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, and warranty issues, ensuring smooth turnover to property management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the multifamily or commercial construction industry.
Certifications (preferred):
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification or equivalent.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
